my Essex County Council election result

I came 4th out of 5 with 303 votes and beat Ukip into last place.

In Colchester as well as round the country there was a swing to the Tories and the UKIP vote collapsed. Labour won in Abbey, which is in central Colchester. Green Councillor James Abbott was re-elected in Witham.
Nationally, the Green Party of England and Wales now has 165 principal authority Councillors on 62 such Councils. I find it galling that the Guardian newspaper's elections-2017-results page persists in lumping Greens with Others, while giving Ukip results on their own: Ukip got one seat this time!
The result in my seat of Drury was:
  • Conservative Sue Lissimore 3330
  • Green Robbie Spence 303
  • Labour Sioux Blair-Jordan 594
  •  Liberal Democrat William Glanville 1279
  • UKIP Diane Baker 202
