In 2015 Germaine Greer criticised Elton John and David Furnish for listing David as the mother on the birth certificates of their two sons.

In the transgender debate, it seems that anyone can be a mother, for 'mother' is a social construct. Meanwhile, to suppose that only a woman can be a mother is to be a 'sex essentialist'.

Weird.
