Basic quick tomato sauce: 1 carton tomato passata, 1tsp sugar, half tsp oregano, bayleaf, garlic clove finely chopped (no need to fry), 1tsp veg stock powder.
TVP (soya) and tomato sauce:
Pour 1 mug boiling water over 1 mug dried TVP and add 1 tsp bouillon powder and leave to stand for 10 mins.
Fry 2 or 3 cloves garlic gently in olive oil.
Add 1 carton tomato passata, 1tsp sugar, half tsp oregano, bayleaf.
Cook for 15 mins adding extra water if necessary.
Maybe add fried mushrooms (fried separately).
